asking for a friend. just found it. guy wants 300 just for the 205. seems like a alot. so will it work? the 350 is in a late 70s k5 and the 205 is from a 71 k5 i think he said thanks

Yep as long as both shafts are 27 splines.

He will also need to TH350/205 adapter and drives sleeve and he will have to shorten the front driveshaft and lengthen the rear and he will also need the 205 shifter.

just talked to him. 300 is for the case, adapter, sleeve. going twin stick so dont need the shifter

I would say its a little high, but those are kind hard to find. I was quoted $250 fror one from a yard once.

yea your probably right. 300 to much?
I wouldn't say its exactly too much because if you were to part it, I've seen chrome shifters on eBay for upwards of $50 on up but depends on the condition of the chrome.

Adaptors are the money makers here. This one could fetch around $100 to $150 easily.

The rest of the 'case can be sold for $100 and up. Of course the 32 spline units fetch the most with the 27's right behind them. 10 splines don't generate much dough because theres plenty of them and the 10 splines speak for themselves. Most people buy these to convert to 27 and 32 splines. Doing this can be cheaper than locating the 32 spline itself.

So $300 would be about the right price but anything more and I'll keep looking.
