A guy i work with has a 92 1/2 ton chevy with what I am guessing must be a 4L60 this only has 1st and 2nd left. He has a TH350 from what must be a 80s straight axle truck but no case or adaptor. Will his 241 bolt to the 350 and will he need to change driveshafts? Anything else need changed? If I recall the 350 is 7" shorted than the 700 or 4l60 in this case and make things a pain to swap.

to put a th350 inplace of a 700r4/4L60 or 4L60E, you need a special output shaft (can use a 2wd short shaft and cut 1.75" or .75" don't remember off the end of it) and a 1.75" spacer to make up for the difference of the length.

with this, the adapter and driveshafts that he has will work with no problem.

He would be using the same case thats in it now, just different tranny so speedo won't change. Thanks for the info.
