i have a th350 that is leaking around the kick down cable mount in the trans what to do??????? /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

pull out the kick down cable and replace it or minimum replace the rubber o ring that seals it and put a dab of silicon around the base also before ya put it back in the tranny
do the work your self and save the money take 25.00 of the $$ ya saved and send it to steve for your member ship :-) think of it as a investment that just keeps on giving ya great returns - v.p.d. ( value per doller )
good luck

I'd agree... Be careful not to tighten it too much otherwise you'll hear a crack and it will still leak. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Also check the lines that go into the tranny right above that... and the dipstick tube.. Wipe it all down real good and try to pinpoint where your leak is coming from.

Yes, a cracked KD cable housing is a common cause for leaks

The dipstick mounting bracket, that goes to the bellhousing bolt, is "spot-welded" to the very thin dipstick tube.. they frequently crack from taking the measuring stick in and out.. it leaks down and blows back the edge of the case looking like it is comming from the KD cable..watch for that... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif
