TH350 Making noise in park

What does it mean when youre th350 makes some sort of grinding noise in park and when you go to put it in any gear you dont move and nothing happens not even a noise? Did it just take a dive and needs to be rebuilt or what?

Transfer case in neutral?

I believe it is, it felt like it was. If it wasnt would that be a problem?

If the t-case is in neutral, the truck won't move. It needs to be in 2H

Uh yeah i wasnt thinking about that. I was in a hurry to leave the shop and i hit the shifter while loading my old rims and just wiggled it and figured, eh its good and when i went to move it nothing happened. So i just pushed it out friday night and havent looked at it yet. Can you tell that im new at this? Im great with 2wheel drive but sometimes a T case throws me off. Man do i feel dumb.
