I purchased new steel trans mod/vacuum line from classic tube and don’t know how it’s supposed to connect to the vacuum tube coming from the modulater on the trans. The steel line I got has a 180 degree bend at the end while the trans mod valve has a short piece of vacuum line at a 90 and there is no way that I see they will connect. Can I just cut the 90 rubber line and use a straight piece to connect to the factory style steel line? I’ll post a couple pictures cause I know my question sounds kinda confusing. Also, which port in the intake does the other end of that steel line attach to? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can cut & reroute either end as needed. All that matters is that you have a good seal between the tube and hose when you're done. I see the shift linkage there so be careful to check it's full range of motion to be sure it doesn't hit.

That new steel line will actually fit into the modulator nipple, the rubber hose goes over both to hold together.

The engine side needs manifold vacuum. The big hole behind carb gets a vacuum tree threaded in, 1,2, 3 ports depending on needs. The signal for trans modulator will be from there

mine looks like this.

PS Your underside is very clean. Nice work

What made you replace the line? Did it split somewhere, or??

Thanks for the compliment, its a complete frame off restoration. I got a “new” transmission and all new lines from inline tube as the stock stuff was in pretty sad shape.
