Found a pool of oil in my driveway today under the TC. When I got under there to look around, I discovered my transmission modulator hanging loose, still attached to the vacuum line. I can't see the back of the tranny because of the transfer case, but I pushed the modulator back into place and it sort of holds, but feels loose. Is there a bolt or bracket missing to hold it in the transmission case? I can't seem to find a picture of it anywhere. Please post a pic if you have one. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response. Now I'll have to see if I can find and replace those pieces. Might as well replace the modulator while I'm at it....:doah:

I made a simple bracket out of angle iron to hold mine on since the threads were stripped from the teams case.

make sure the mod valve is still in the case, or it'll f it up quickly...

on my old 87 the modulator let go internally, whenever I got on the throttle it'd lay down a smoke screen like a WWII tin can (destroyer)...:doah:

A college roommate had a car like that; we called it the James Bond smoke screen. :haha:
