I think any 4x4 TH350 output shaft will work for you. They didn't change the length of the output shaft on the TH350 like they did with the TH400.

I disagree.
There were 2 versions of the 4X4 T350 output shaft:
A short version with a stickout of about 7/8" for the NP203 and NP205.
A longer version used with the NP208/NP241- between 2" to 2 1/2" stickout.

4x4 output shaft want work. from what i have read you got to use a 2x4 th350,

The 2WD version output shaft may work with the NP208 but why bother??
GM offered the NP208 behind the T350 in the early eighties.
Surely someone on the board here has a 208 version T350...
