th350 question

is there suposed to be somesort of protective shield that bolts to the 350 transmition and covers the torq converter and flywheel? mine dosnt have one but i am wondering it is suposed to. my flywheel and torque converter seem very exposed.

There is a cover that comes on them from the factory. Many times they never get put back on after a tranny swap. I don't have one on my truck either.

you know where i could get one? the junkyards arround here will charge a fortune for that. theyll probally want me to buy the whole transmition.

you can get a aftermarket chrome one from most auto parts stores /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I dont think they are expensive at the dealership either /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

lmc truck or any other restoration company will have them.i think they are about 20 bucks.
