TH350 question

After getting my rig running, I have no 3rd gear. I have a high stall converter, but I only have 1st and 2nd. Kickdown cable is hooked up. I can't get the thing to go into to 3rd at all. 1st and 2nd are good and solid, and shift great. It doesn't even attempt to go into 3rd at all no slipping just stays in 2nd all the way through the rpm range.
 
Will it go into 3rd if you shift it like a manual valvebody? Shifter in 1st, bump up to 2nd, bump up to 3rd?
 
I don't know much about auto trannies but you might have a clog somewhere, low fluid, or a burnt 3rd gear.

not that I can tell, I have a b&m mega shifter and I go first bump to second good, bump to third nothing. I checked the fluid its good, and clean. I'm going to reroute my cooler lines b/c I don't like how they are routed. I may start looking for a new turbo 350.
 
have you checked the modulator valve on the side of the trans. it should be hooked to a vacume line

yeah its hooked up, but I probably should check the line for cracks or leaks. What size is it? 3/8"?? I guess I could go pull it before I go to work tomorrow. Does it have to go to a big vacuum source? If so I can switch, but right now its hooked up to a vacuum port on the throttle body

Ive always hooked them up to manifold vacuum source and they worked fine. never tried hooking them up to ported vacuum though.
