Th350 rebuild kit and converter

I the modulators you found had the large "can" ,they were likely the wide range adjustable type that fits both TH350's and 400's...

Standard Ignition products used to sell a good one, a part # TM-15,but I have not seen any listed online any more, maybe they deleted that part number--some parts stores may still have some on the shelf though..

You will need to extend the tubing to hook up the hose to the larger modulator...if there are issues with clearance ,there are other "short" modulators that are adjustable also...

Well changed all the vaccum modulator the governor gear looked good almost brand new looking and the piston in it moved good. Still feels like it's sitting in between second and third. The kick down cable is broken but I don't think that is my problem so I guess it's time to pull it.

You could check the line pressures with it installed, most transmission shops will do this for a nominal fee,and can help determine what part is faulty..--some will also drop the pan and can apply compressed air to the ports on the valve body that applies the clutch packs, and listen for any leakage of air, that can help determine which seal, etc,is faulty...

You mentioned the vacuum supply is on the intake ,if the modulator is not hooked to manifold vacuum it can affect upshifts ,the fitting it is connected to should feed only the modulator,no other devices...if the detent cable is "broken" ,perhaps it broke while it was opening the "passing gear" valve in the valve body, and its holding it in that position..--as noted in a previous post, this can and will result in it not upshifting properly..
