Ok guys what do i need to have done this is what ive been looking at

buddy owns a local muffler/ ase certified repair shop and his tranny guy will put ina shift kit new tq converter and rebuild it for 350$ flat does good work and is reliable..

what else should i consider new parking pin what about ouput shafts etc.. whats this about manual valve bodies?

dont wanna spend a ton just wanna do it right the first time.

Besides a good rebuild kit, shift kit and converter, I would recommend a good sprag and band. It sounds like you have everything else covered. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

could ya be more specific tranny knowledge is lacking.

also what companies make these?

what about teh manual valve bodies and beefy oiutput gears are they needed?

A manual valve body basically makes your Auto Tranny not automatic. Just like the name implies, you will have to manually shift the tranny. Some manual valvebodies are reverse pattern....meaning rather than P-R-N-3-2-1, you have P-R-N-1-2-3.

I have never seen someone break the planitary gears in an auto tranny. There are much weaker components in there that will fail first. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
