Is ebay the only place to buy a new th350/203 gasket?
I have no ebay account and do not see them anywhere else

Amazon all day long.....

btw....did you replace the square cut o-ring
on the trans when you installed the adapter plate ?

should work ok...it says it 1/32" thick..

BTW..... it's not an o-ring.
It's a square cut Quad ring.....any trans shop should have a bunch of them laying around... ask them for the tailshaft housing ring for a T-350... they are all the same.

They will probably give it to you...

Just an update:
Ran out of time today. But everything is back, minus torque converter dust cover.

3 quarts in the pan. And I will fire it up next week.
Hopefully all goes well. If not then, welp, I’ll tackle that.

Have to admit after all this. Im a bit nervous to fire it up. Its been a bit since its been started but. We’ll see.

Thanks again for all the help thusfar with my incessant questions.

Fingers crossed.

Only one way to find out if it works.

Fire it up...pull it out on the street, do a big smokey burnout right in front of the house!

If it's gonna break, you want to be close to home and the tools ! :waytogo:

don't forget to post up pictures and video of the burnout..:saweet::saweet::woot::woot:

Hahahahah, yes brother!!!

My wife already said she is going to film it. She wants to capture my disappointment or excitement.

I do have a feeling she wants to hear a big clunk and me curse up a storm...

The bitch is, if it fails how the hell can I get it back in the garage???

@Wes Harden
Yes... neighbors as well. I know its not that big of a project, especially for seasoned people. But we all have that first time...

This was my first time digging in like this. Before on my c10’s was minor stuff. Interior redone, leaky stuff, belts, carbs stuff etc. nothing like pulling a tranny, transfer case and all this thread detailed.

“Mom why is dad yelling? Oh honey, its that damn blazer that he’ll never get running” ....

Hahah

Man there's nothing simple about working on vehicles. I still run into situations with things I've done a hundred times that make me see red. Hence my thread Why Is Everything So Difficult.

Ok, gentlemen fired it up and we’re good to go. After sitting damn near 3 months start up was really good and quick.

I do have a nice leak at the tranny from the bottom cooler line. Flare may not be butted up properly or something.

But Ive havent road tested on account of that leak. But, all gears engage and the truck moves at least 10ft either way.

Once I fix that leak Im sure something else will pop up..

Thanks everyone......

I was having some issues with the flare fitting getting flush on the bottom transmission fitting. First strart up it leaked. Anyway.... changed out that fitting with the braided lines and it no longer leaked, while sitting.

Now after a few hot cold cycles I went out this morning to check stuff under the truck and noticed my arch nemesis, that darn atf just starting to creep out of that same fitting.

I gave it a quick snug up buy nothing crazy maybe 1/8 of turn and will check later.

Is it normal to have to tighten this up after a few cycles? The top is fine, same for the connection to the radiator after initial install a hot/cold cycles. It’s only that darn bottom one.

I hope the fitting on the Tcase itself is good. I know how flare fittings work, but it may have not been tight enough. You would figure if it were loose it leak with pressure while driving and not by just sitting....
Anyway...
