hey yall been along time since ive been on here and think i forgot alittle too much info. :doah:

so how much do u cut off the tailshaft of a 2wd th350 to make it match with the 208 and spacer? this is replacing a 700r4/208 with a 2wd th350/spacer/208:confused::confused:

also what is the diff. between a 2wd 700r4 and the 4wd? tailshaft lengths?

come on somebody has to know somethin around here?

do you already have the 2wd 350 shaft? when you take the 700 out bolt the adapter on and measure how far the shaft sticks out, then bolt the adapter to the 350 tranny and measure the stick out. then compare the two measurments that will tell you how much to cut off

yea i wish it was that simple. i took the 700 out years ago and replaced with a sm456/205, but this is now in another truck so im puttin a new 350/208 in but forgot how much to cut off

That's basically what I did. Somehow the number 1.4 comes to mind. I think it took a bunch of web search but I think the info is out there. There's a vendor that supplies kits to the trans builders, and actually the parts in my AdvanceAdapter's kit came from them. National?:D
