Ok so I rebuilt my trans and re sealed the np205 my question has to do with the cast iron adapter.

The seal or I should say seals were shot, I ordered the reseal kit from ORD. I installed both seals facing away as specified, I have a small o-ring left over, where does this go? Also there is a larger o-ring on the front of the adapter where it bolts to the tail of tranny, seems like it should have something else?

School me folks!

large oring square cut style is factory all it should need .

small round cut oring is on the input gear just past the splines if I recall on a small grove . coupler sleave seals it up .

So on the input shaft then the coupler (splined) goes over it?

Shitballs, I already bolted it on.

Guess that's why it was leaking in the first place huh.
