th350 tv cable

Putting my tranny back in and the po didnt have a tv cable (well half of one) in the jimmy. Any ideas on legnth and or the a pic of the manifold end bracket as I am missing it also. The cable I have will not seat against the tranny tis about 3/4" from the case. Not sure if that means its too long or too short.

For reference the cable on a TH350 IS NOT a TV cable it is a kickdown cable and has nothing to do with upshifts, it's only purpose is for passing gear and it doesn't have to be connected unless you want to be able to mash the skinny pedal and have the trans downshift for passing which you can do manually if you don't hook it up.

Yeah my mix up on the cable. and since its my first tranny rebuild I wanna do it right all the way and not clip off the end and bolt it down. Soooo back to my problem, there are diff. lengths not sure w/one is right. thanks for the correction..

I had one of these on my last th350, had to cut it in half when I got in a bad situation dropping the tranny to replace and forgot to disconnect it.

Not sure that the lengths are different? the stock ones adjust ad the D looking deal where it goes into the carb bracket.

Well if there IS no difference in length then I will double check mine. Maybe its hung up on something and I dont see it since its already installed. anybody got a line on the bracket for up on the carb? as that is missing also. Could rob the one off the nova.............hmmmmm.
