I have a th350 in an 83 k5 and i just finished rebuilding it with B&M internals. I poured in about 8 qts, since there was still some in the torque converter, and started the truck up. Everything went fine up until the engine was warm and I noticed a thin steady stream of fluid pouring out of the vent tube on the top that stops after awhile. The thing is the dipstick reads that i need to add a quart but the instant I pour more in it leaks out of the vent tube. I even tried using a different dipstick made for th350's and it read the same. It goes into all gears and the wheels move no problem. Did I put the pump gasket in wrong or what's going on that could cause this? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I am more than frustrated at this point.
