Th350 with a short shaft

Ok I did some math and I need a tail shaft that sticks out past the case about 1" 3/4 to 2" 1/2 if I use the spacer that I have. Does this seem right. My set up is a Np205 with the stock Th350/Np205 adapter with a 27/10 sleeve. I have a spacer that is 1 7/8 thick.
