so i might be building an 80 blazer that has a th350 np205 combo in it. what have you guys done to brace the tranny and transfercase to make them stronger.
I dont run any bracing system on mine. (th400/205). Never have, never needed it. I just make sure my bolts are tight, and use poly mounts and make sure they stay real tight.
iv got buddies running scs drop boxes in 2.5 ton mud trucks behind 350s and 400s and theirs don't have a problem. if the case is gonna break then theres not much bracing will do. keep in mind autos are made out of aluminum. best way to prevent a case failure and its probably not a option for your build is a 465 with an aftermarket steel bellhousing. that's what my rig has after I cracked a stock cast bellhousing on the trail
i just changed from a sm465np205 combo lol although i still have the setup just not the blazer lol i want to go with a auto this time. id rather go with a th400 but this one came with a th350 so for now thats what i will be running.
