No

TH400/208 used an output shaft that sticks out of the case about 2.5"

TH400/205 has an output shaft that sticks out of the case about 4.5"

my chart says 208 / 241 / round 205 use same shaft.

and round pattern is long input .

and fig 8 pattern is short input.

Wouldn't be the first time i was wrong. I was going with some info from ORD's website.

I learned the hard way the th350 is different from 205 and 208.

Is a TH400 2wd tranny the same for 4x4 with np208?

few diffrent tails on 2wd 400 cant say but some swap in yes.

Hmm just found out the tranny I got as a replacement was a 2wheel drive tranny. They must have cut the output shaft to bolt on the tc on. It came out of a g-30 The give away was stamped steel dust cover, speedo sensor in the tranny. Should I start looking for another one????
