Anyone have a ballpark idea for the driveshaft? I can only find some lengths for c10 with similar transmissions, never the short th400 tail housing and a 2wd blazer.. Trying to get somewhat close so I can build some trailing arms.. I don't have a th400 that I can mock up nor is there a rear axle in the truck or I'd measure myself.

Build the suspension and measure for driveshaft later IMO.

Nate made his rear shaft for under $200 and it was all new yokes and tube from dennys driveline.

Sometimes one from a Chevelle or similar GM car that had a TH400 will work--my '56 Chevy 3200 series 2wd had a shaft too short in it when I got it --it fell out of the trans going over railroad tracks about a week after I bought it!..

I had a drive shaft from a 70'd Olds Cutlass with a TH350 that ended up in it--it was about 1/2" short of being "perfect"--close enough that I never had any issues with it..

A Shorty GM van with a TH400 might be close too--the older ones had a 110" WB..

The trailing arms must be close so I don't have 17 inches of plunge.. I want to get the plate laser cut so I gotta have a good idea within 2-3 inches of what it is.. Thx
