I have recently swapped from a 700r4/NP205FY to a TH400/NP205FY in my 1980 K20 (originally equipped with a Th350/NP205SY).
I bought new stainless transmission cooler lines from Inline tube and had to modify them due to my larger than stock oil pan on the 454. I know from searching that on Th400's, the pressure line is the lower fitting on the tranny and the return is the upper fitting. I'm assuming the lower line on the tranny goes to the bottom of the radiator cooler and the top of the radiator cooler goes to the upper fitting on the trans, but can anyone verify this? Right now with the modifications I had to make to the lines, it's not very clear.
