My 88 suburban has a turbo 400 in it but the kickdown switch isn't hooked up it came factory with a 700r4 which eventually ill put one back in since all the wiring is still there but until i blow up the transmission that's in it i don't want to change it so whats the best way to hook the kickdown switch back up

12 volt key hot .

gas pedal switch / bracket . 3 bolt swap out if you have one. fyi check to see if your gas pedel bracket has spot for switch to just add switch . some did have but no switch .

wire down to tranny plug .

bam all done. :thumb:

You could gettofab anything and it would work. Could home brew a momentary switch down on the pedal or off the throttle linkage. Or wire in a push button and put a N2O sticker by it:haha: Or pull your gear selector down one.

I'd look for a switch in a boneyard or a factory type replacement.

check summit racing. im pretty sure they sell a universal switch that will come with the instructions on wireing it:thumb:
