Dec 24, 2004 #4 I think the "round" pattern TH400/NP205 adaptor will work with a 400 that had a 208 behind it, but I can't guarantee it. I do have one of the "round" 205 adaptors in stock. Shipping to your door is $21. Find if it'll fit and get back to me, I don't want to ship it to you and find that it isnt going to work.

Dec 24, 2004 #6 The 205 and 208 patterns are differmt, however changing the adaptor solves that problem right off the bat. The only problem as I see it is the length of the tailshaft, TH400's had three that I know of. Also the 205's had two lenght of inputs, somthing else you'll have to keep in mind. PM me and we can go over it in more detail.
