Removed from my truck for a manual swap. Everything worked at highway speeds and 4wd hi lo. The trans has about 20,000 miles and was professionally rebuilt. I have the receipt on it still. Stored indoors since removed.

I can include auto pedal assembly and crossmember.

I'll ask my friends if they need anything of the sort. I'm close enough that it would be a couple hours drive no problem.

I'd be very interested if I had the cash!..my '85 K10 6.2 Burb has a dying 700R4 and I'd just assume swap a TH400 in it instead of fixing it,I wont care about no overdrive or the loss of the lower first gear ratio,as it will be used mostly for plowing and not many high speed long trips...the only glitch might be the diesel would ideally need the 6 bolt torque converter ,but I suppose a non-diesel 3 bolt one would work--I think my pickup has that along with a 2wd case on its TH400 and I've had no troubles (yet!)...If your up to trading some things for the tranny,I might have something you need or want....if I had 200 bucks it would already be mine!..unfortunately I'm quickly running out of things I could sell off, thats worth anything....:doah:..

Yeah trades are always fun. It is off a diesel so maybe I have the correct converter?

Parts I'm currently in the market for are lift springs, winch, front 28 spline 10 bolt locker. I'm also looking for a stick welder.

I have a olc DC Lincoln "Linc-Welder" thats gas powered ,has a Onan 2 cyl engine that runs but needs work, and it welds OK,bought it as a project and haven't found the cash to finish fixing it up--one cylinder smokes bad and it has a knock, but I've used it a few times as-is .........................bought it to use so I wont have to run 220V service to my garage and be abe to weld anyplace without jacking up our electric bill...I do have an old Miller AC arc welder,225 amps,it was working great but suddenly started tripping the curcuit breaker...its probably from the 50's and REAL heavy, its on wheels and has a "T" handle to drag it around with...................................................................................................It used to be at a place I worked at,and it always worked good...I did take all the sheet metal casing off to look inside it ,and I see no burnt wires or evidence of damage to anything inside like the transformer windings,etc.........................................................................................I am pretty sure the on-off switch is the problem,or maybe my curcuit breaker has become too weak to power it ,I was going to haul it to a friends place and try plugging it into his 50 amp outlet...(our house only has a 20 amp 220V outlet in the garage, which isn't really enough to power an arc welder well--I suspect that might be the whole problem with it..the breaker has been tripped many times and might just be weak?)..........................................................................................................I found a more portable 225 amp Airco "Bumble-Bee" welder for 50 bucks on CL to use,(which also trips the breaker easily!)--so I never bothered to try the Miller on another 220V service yet...I woudn't be surprised if there is nothing wrong with it,or maybe the switch itself is the only thing bad on it....any interest??.I could try plugging it in at my friends shop to see if it is the switch or just our house's lack of amps causing it to kick the breaker off......................................................................................................I have a few other things for GM trucks, but no lift springs or diff parts,as for winches all I have is a few 1000 lb ATV style ones I have uses for, nothing larger.................................................................................................I do have a NP205 T-case with a Th350 adapter,a 700R4 adapter for a NP-208 and some other things for 67-87 trucks in storage,if you can think of anything else you might want or need...also have a few roto-tillers,a snowblower, and a Yard Man lawn tractor with a 46" deck & a 20 HP Kohler vertical twin that runs good, needs tinkering on the fuel pump or carb at the moment.....................................................................................................also have a flatbed with an electric 1000lb winch crane setup on it I had on my 77 GMC ,its "useable" but will need new wood decking and some paint, its now sitting on a '62 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd chassis with coil springs & a full floating Eaton axle under it in the backyard...hate to scrap it,was thinking of using it on my '82 k2500,the chassis was made into a trailer ....If you have any interest in trading any of those items ,please let me know...sounds like the tranny might have the right torque converter i'd need too, which is hard to find lately..

I'm curious about the Miller AC 225 unit. When you say AC, do you mean the unit welds in AC or plugs into AC, but can weld DC? I have 220 wired to its own breaker panel in my garage so that is not an issue. Has the unit always been stored indoors and well maintained? Do you have cables or is it just the unit. The age does not bother me if it is in working condition. Do you have a picture or model number?

I think I am far out from needing(wanting) a 205 t-case but hopefully someday I will get some extra lower transfer case gears and triple sticks going.

I would need to brainstorm for truck parts. Nothing else has really been pressing my mind.

I will try to get a pic of my torque converter and other items up so you can see their condition also.

The Miller is an AC welder,no DC output....it is pretty big, about 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide--weighs a good 150 lbs I bet if not more!....it was in a machine shop at an auto parts store for decades,I was told my former boss's father had bought it new to use around his farm, but they rarely used it there,so it got brought to the store, where it didn't see much use either--after I bought it I let my brother use it for years,he built a beavertail ramp truck and several trailers with it and it always worked good, even with 7018 rods.......................................................................................................I rarely used it after I got it back, mostly because I lacked sufficient amperage in the house garage to run it...I used the hot water heater curcuit to power a 220V outlet after we got rid of the water heater in favor of a tankless unit built into the furnace, but it only had 20 amp breakers and the 12 ga wire cant handle more than that...so if I welded anything over 75 amps it would kick off the breaker after an inch long bead was run...I think that might be the only reason it wont work, the breaker now trips too easily, even when I use my other Airco welder over 75 amps...................................................................................................I'll have to see if I can find a picture on the web,and get the model # off it...I cant post pictures, dont know how too,or if my computer even can!..as for cables I might have some short ones about 10' long,I think I used the ones it came with on the gas powered welder ,I may have others ,have to look in the garage...if your interested seriously I could take it to my friends shop and see if it'll work on his 50 amp 220V service...I bet it would,if it doesn't I bet its just the on-off switch that might be shorting out...

Hmmm. I was hoping it would be capable of DC output.

Nope, its AC only as it sits--so is the Airco welder, just AC only...you might be able to add a rectifier in the curcuit to get DC though......the gas powered Linc-Welder is a DC generator type welder ,it also puts out 110V ,50 cycle AC current to power a grinder or other tools...being 50 cycle AC I wouldn't reccomend using it to power sensitive electronics like computers or TVs or appliances though...............................................................................................I'll try to sell something or scrap some stuff, and get some cash up...the Burb has sat 3 years in my yard already,I should either get it useable, and register it--or get rid of it...with my pickup getting really ratty,I will probably need the Burb to plow with sooner than later,so I hate to part with it..if I end up being here all winter that is--with my mothers health so frail,I dont know how long she'll last, and once shes gone I most likely will end up selling all I own off,and moving somewhere else,I wont be able to afford to live here with no job or income...it sucks being stuck in limbo like this royally...
