I went to install my doubler today and when i went to mate the trans to the doubler before putting in the truck. the flange for the 400 HD round pattern are threaded smaller than my 203 round pattern. should i just drill the trans out bigger or am i missing something here? thanks

The 400 case should be 3/8". My ORD Doubler used all 3/8" hardware.

just double checked and its 3/8 on the trans. 3/8 is to small for the doubler. guess im going to drill the trans and tap the doubler for 1/2, and try to contain the shavings with grease and a magnet on the doubler. I think every hole must of been stripped or somethin. Buying used is paying off. lol.

Iirc none of the holes on the doubler adapter are threaded. What brand is yours?

Idk for sure no markings. Looks ord if anything. If the doubler is not threaded and only the tranny is, then how do they attach to each other ? 1/2 lol. I picked up some 7/16 bolts i'll see what happens when i get home.

For both sides, some are bolts and some are studs.

Looks like you need to unbolt the adapter/mount from the front of the t-case. Then bolt it to your 400 first. From the inside. Then bolt the t-case back up.

yep th400/203 gets adaptor on tranny first before adaptor to the rangebox / or 203 transfercase.

and the factory bolts QTY6 will have orings with them to seal them . atleast the ones I have pulled apart did that I recall.

Yes yes yes, super thanks guys, i thought about that but didnt know if the bolt head would fit in there. Cool im back on track. Thanks again
