My adapter broke last weekend and having trouble finding one the same. The one on the left is the style I need. It was out of a 1990 suburban with a th400/241. I have 2 like the one on the right out of older th400 to 208s. What year and models would the left one be out of? Thanks.

You need 85 or newer.
I have one if you can't find it.

cool, thanks.
I'm gonna add an extra mount on the front output to help hold it. It goes to my re-drilled 203 for my doubler. PM me how much you want for your adapter.

How different is this adapter? The mounting feet are between the mounting faces and higher up is the only difference I can see.

My buddy used one like this when we broke his one like your original above. We just had to drill holes in the crossmember to make up for the offset. Seems to work great. When his broke we found all the bolts had come pretty loose and thats most likely the cause of breakage. We used blue lock tight when puttin it back together. May be something to try.

I had just had the doubler out the weekend before fixing a leak and helicoiled a stripped hole. I always use locktight on those bolts and they were all tight when I took apart monday. I think the pass side mount under the doubler got weak and allowed it to twist/flex. I already have a fix in the works, just gotta fix the adapter. Looks like the newest pictures one the mounting holes are up higher too. Could make a plate to offset and lower it to meet the rubber mount in the same spot as my old broken one.

You probly needed the one that I scraped Saturday. I think it was off a 91 burb with a 4l80/241.....

Scrapped:eek1: the going rate for those (online at least) is around $100. Matt that tall style one you have up top would work but you would need to drop you cross member and im sure you dont want that. We tried using one but it was too much messing around, and found another local for $45
