In my shop. Doing stuff.
I was nervous about showing up with a desert truck at a crawler event. Everybody was great.

I was totally blown away by winning the Jason Payne Memorial award. WOW. I want to thank everybody who put this weekend together. My wife started getting bored with the stories. So I called my dad and bored him.

Thanks again.

I designed a new rig for next year on the 7 hour drive back. Looking for parts on Craigs list already. Can not wait.

You sure deserved that award! I can't wait to see what your new rig looks like!

I was the guy in the green Jeep.

You probably have the coolest blazer I've seen and I can hardly wait to see what you build next

I have my eye on a 37 Chevy p/u and an 87 1 ton frame. Coil overs and arms. Lots of hours before next year.

I'd say your truck still did pretty damn good. I don't remember you having much trouble with Metal Masher, and certainly not Top of the World. :waytogo:

It was good wheelin with you. It was really cool when you jumped right in to help Jim get his truck squared away on Top of the World. :thumb: I'm glad you came and had a good time.

I already have a co-pilot for next year. Just showed him the photos and video. I can not wait.

That was a good time, I think we are all glad we got to go, as well as meet all of the people that we did, including Wade!

So when is the next trip?
:haha:

I'm already looking to the winter build plans. I have a donor truck with a TBI setup begging to jump into the General. :deal:

Well I just got home.... little longer than most of ya it looks like. After all that fun in the dirt I broke on the way home. I must have wiggled my tailight plug loose and it kept blowing the light fuse and lights out. 11pm in truckee wanst the place to figure it out so another night in a hotel. Then in the morning i saw the loose plug and said well damn. Who knows maybe it saved my life by not running off the road half asleep. Had a great time along with everyone else meeting you guys and looking forward to next year.
I'm interested to see if Wade can pull off another year with the trophy with another build.:D

Someone commented that all the trucks on Top of the World had at least one tail light out. I never did look at mine. :dunno:

It was good meetin' and wheelin' with ya, Rob. :thumb: Glad you made it home.

If anyone is still up for wheeling, I wouldn't mind hitting it again. The weather is supposed to be good this weekend.

Only if I lived closer. I should have flagged you down and instead of leaving monday we should have done one more run....ohwell:D

If you guys are up to traveling again, we could do one of the super secret trails west of Montrose. I'd like to see bent72 attempt part of DIE TRYING!

As white as the mountain peaks are I might just put thumper to bed until next spring.

I had a good time as well, maybe next year I will bring my blazer if I get the new frame and drivetrain swapped into it.

The trophy blazer was sweet, i was drooling over it everytime I saw it.

I met so many people I can not keep them all straight. Besides, I did not get everyones screen name.

Thanks again for the votes. I still can not believe it. Of course, my brother wanted to kmow if everyone else was driving junk. Because that is the only way I could win. "You can pick your friends, but not your relatives."
