I would be currious to hear what the 0 - 60 times are for your varios trucks (especially Suburbans) just as a very loose guage of performance. I know there are tons of variables, but I am just curious how they stack up. I would really like to hear the time of a stock Sub.

1991 Suburban w/ a mild 383, 33" tires, 3.73 gears, did a 10 seconds flat. I have been working on tunning it so hopefully this gets better.

Never mind, I was thinkin ya said 1/4 mile time, my bad.

10 flat in a hundred yards maybe. :haha::haha::haha:I call BS on that pal, BIG TIME. .

That's what my stopwatch showed. I will try again tomorrow to see if I screwed up. I did the old left hand on the wheel, right hand on my left wrist watch, eye on the road and speedo. That defenetly leaves room for error. Does 10 seconds really seem that quick?
?

Edit:
I see your new post, That is pretty funny. I would have to kick my own ass if I tried to claim a 10second 1/4 mile in my Sub.

I'll check my Crew Cab tomorrow on the way to work. Specs in my sig :wink1:

Krusty is about 11-12 seconds. Bottom end really sucks with 3.08 gears and 33" tires. You just don't have the power down there. However, 40-80 is very fast because you are really already into the power and can stay in passing gear much longer. Krusty will not come out of 2nd until 45-50 MPH because of the gearing.

I think my 84 will do it quicker than that. Speedo doesn't work, so I had the GPS to make sure I wasn't "breaking the law". Was messing around a little, took off kinda hard in 2nd, shifted into third, looked at teh GPS and was doing 70 already.

It would be kinda hard to steer with the left, shift and hit the stopwatch with the right....

10-11 seconds sounds about right. I think my shortbed truck with 35s, a 305 and 4.10s would do it in about 11. That was before I put on 200 lbs. worth of bumper and winch. They say that losing 100 lbs. = 1/10 sec. quicker in the quarter mile. I don't know how that would relate to 0-60 times. When I had worn out 33s on there with the same gearing, it seemed about a second quicker. The Suburban is heavier, but it seems like it would have less drag in the wind without the bed.

I've got one of those G-Tech Pro dashboard things sitting in a box somewhere.

When my truck is finally running again, I can do a full-throttle run and post up results (with a pic of course)

:usaflag:

My 83 does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds

My 87 does it in about 8 seconds.

My 02 does it in 4.3 seconds.

My 95 does it in 10 seconds.

I have an addiction to speed. :D

The K5 9-10....

...minutes:haha:
The '05 1 ton on the other hand, in full stink mode, prob 4.5-5 seconds flat (1.69 60' time boosted 4x4 launch at the dragway:wink1:)

Around 13 seconds with my 6.2L turbo diesel / 5 speed. Around 5 seconds with my 6.6L turbo diesel / 6 speed, haha

I'll check next time i drive it. Might have to break out teh sundial to time it though.

with the 6.2 and turbo 400 4.10 and 33's it s gets there in decent time, however at 65 its screaming and doesnt go any faster:D

Gonna have to check mine now.

When I had the 1/2 ton running gear with 3.08's on 35's I had a bit of a race with a Hemi Grand Cherokee (probably and '08 model) and we were neck and neck until about 50mph when I had to let off the gas. I now have 4.10 gears with 3/4 ton gear the same 35's so I would probably be a bit faster now. My engine is a fairly healthy 400 sbc.

8 seconds, on a muddy field.
