the 42\'s are on

Finally mounted the 42's and bolted them up, just need to put the 6" springs in to make some more room for the TSL's.

Re: the 42\'s are on

"Maximum tire diameter will be 38" or 6" over stock, whichever is less."

Looks sweet though /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: the 42\'s are on

So, is that pic with the 4" lift and a body lift. Will the 42's rub with the fenders cut like that? The reason I ask is that my fenders are cut out similar to yours and I always thought that you made the 38's look small. I was thinking I could get away with the 4" + 1" 0-rate and 42's.

Looks very good,

Well the perfect trip to make to Paragon will be to mark your calander for Saturday August 9th. My husband and I are planning a charity trail ride (for the 2nd year) to benefit United Cerebral Palsy. Last year we raised $1200. We are hoping to make that and more this year.

Re: the 42\'s are on

<-- marks his calendar, hopefully I will ahve a DD by then and can mod my K5 big time.

Re: the 42\'s are on

Look sweet I think you have about the best looking fendertrimings /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Oh yea I like the spray bottle in the grill /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Re: the 42\'s are on

the has never been legal and i never got pulled over. i drove out to paragon adventure park in PA with no top, tailgate or doors and passed a [censored] load of popo on the way and just got the "what the fudge is that look". /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Re: the 42\'s are on

Currently the truck has a 4" lift and 2" body lift. The new setup will be 6" suspension with no body lift.
front = 6" , 2" longer than stock, axle moved 2" forward
rear = 2", shackle flip, axle moved back 3"
I will need to tub the rear in order for the tires to stuff nicely. I will also be doing some firewall work to get some more stuffing from the front. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Keep an eye out for the photo's.

Re: the 42\'s are on

I really like the look of the 42s. I am planning on doing 40s or 42s and wasnt sure how much lift I needed. I was hoping to do 6" springs and 1" zero rates with as much fender trimming as possible in the front and and 4" springs and a 2"or 4"shackle flip in the rear and possibly relocate the rear axle back farther. I just finished a crossover hystreer setup, so I want to keep the front axle in the stock location. Any thoughts on whether it will clear or not? /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

Re: the 42\'s are on

For a different reason a while back I looked into NJ "geometric stability test" which any truck lifted more than 4" above its "manufactured height" is supposed to take. How do you pass inspection with the 42's and 6" lift? From what I remember about Jersey inspections, the guys were mostly big time dicks.

Re: the 42\'s are on

Very nice man! Looks awsome with 42's. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Makes me want 42's also..... but my K5's my daily driver. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Re: the 42\'s are on

the guys in south nj get all the harassment, up here you mostly get thumb's up's from the cops /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. i went to my friends garage and he hooked me up with a sticker /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. since the inspection is every 2 years in nj for used vehicles, if i was to ever get pulled over, i would just tell them i did the mods after i got inspected and was not told about any special inspection for lifted vehicles /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. nj bites, i might register my truck in ny, should be a little more tame on the inspection side.
