hey i found out that the transfer case helps support the transmission!!!. after removing it i got to watch my precious rebuilt tranny drop 4 or 5 inches and it was great. but anyways does anyone know how much i should expect to pay someone to rebuild my np 205? and are they as great as everyone claims they are???

Yeah being a gear drive it is the strongest production vehicle transfer that came out. Sorry no price on rebuild, but be sure to check the distributor as if the transmission dropped it is surely mashed in the firewall. Came close one time myself

Those are so easy i can rebuild them in my sleep. Do a search and you should be able to come up with all the info you need to do it yourself.

yeah if u have a clean place to tear it apart go for it, they are easy

I think the rebuild kits are aroung $120-$150 range.

I have a np205 to put together, got it all apart.
