well rubber bumpers showed up today so i drilled 8 1/2" holes in the face to bolt them in place.
also drilled and tapped the holes for the top plate down to the bumper. also welded in washers to the expanded metal and drilled / tapped the holes to hole it down also.
then removed it from the van and got ready for epoxy primer friday am . . . finaly done with it.
pic #1-2 = rubber bumpers on the back. stick out around 2.5" off face. ad 6" tall by 8" wide the way i have them mounted.
pic #3-5 = expanded metal grate with 4 filled in sections via washer welded in to hold the grate down in place. and also test fit of trailer plug fit and flow for the area. gona add a little hat over the plug in the am before primer goes on to keep anyone from stepping on it with there big feet.
we decided that we will be tinting to the dark gray for used on ther bumpers the spray on bead coating stuff and doing a fine texture not chunky.
