Had a lovely rat get into it a few years back and destroy everything. Finally took the time to remove the headlight wiring harness off of another one I have to fix this one.
ORD drop pitman arm for now and a set of their u-bolts for one tons.
Temperature selector wouldn’t go all the way over to hot, being that I knew I had at one time a rat/mouse problem I figured something was blocking the door. Pulled the box out and sure enough. I went ahead and done a heater core while it was out.
Finally got around to installing that drop pitman arm…
Along with new tie rod ends. The last picture was prior to being completely finished. Nothing was tightened yet.
I’ve actually had this Suburban listed on Fakebook marketplace. Since getting the blazer I’ve been messing with it and this one just sets. I’ve got some parts for it though and started to install some of them in hopes it helps to sell maybe. Idk. I’ve had a lot of interest in it but nobody has shown up with the cash yet.
So the blazer batteries are dead again, I’m only getting 11 something volts out of one alternator and 9 out of the other. I’m wanting to convert it to 12 volt and a serpentine belt set up anyway so I’ll buy a new alternator for that whenever I find serpentine brackets. In the meantime I pulled the rims and tires off the blazer and put them on the Suburban so I can drive it some and maybe it will help sell it. It looks goofy to me on 33s after being on 35s for so long. But I missed driving it.
I also started installing the zero rate add a leaf and new ubolts I’ve had for it for a while. I only managed to get one side done last night with what time I had and the problems that arose. The other side should go smoother though, just need to find the time this week to get it done. We are supposed to get rain several days this week and I’m working on it outside. So we shall see.
I knew once I started driving it again I’d want to start working on it again and now probably won’t want to sell…
