Good discussion as lockers are also on my mind.

A dana 30 is always locked in too due to it being unit bearing. If you haven't gotten a front locker by this fall I'll let you cruise the Cherokee around. I've got a spartan for it thatll go in when I regaear it with tax money.

A good rebuild is always nice peace of mind especially for what the burb is intended to do. I'll have to get up there and check it out in person at some point!
So true.I forgot to mention it, but one reason I'm doing as much as possible with the kids is because life is short. Kids don't stay children for very long. Next year you'll have finished 1/3rd of your son's childhood, and I'm not far behind. So when an opportunity arises to travel or read books or make homemade pastys, I try to fit in as many of them as practical. Soon I won't have these moments anymore.
Ok, that's enough sappy stuff. Back to regularly scheduled programming.
August 15-19, mark it on your calendar so you don't forget (again). Dates aren't final yet, but they're likely. Or come up earlier for scouting runs.

@AugustDiesel inspired me to fire the MogTruck up tonight.

It's not coming outside just yet, but I do like to listen to it crackle.

Haha, glad I could inspire y’all to get out there. I have one thing going for me that y’all don’t though, the high yesterday was 85* and it was as sunny as it’s been in a while!

8" of snow this week, but it's melting fast. No updates on the truck yet, it's still sitting in several inches of water, slowly sinking into the sand. But it's due to emerge from swampy hibernation as soon as the ground dries enough to get it out to the road. The Buick dug 6" deep mud trenches through one of the dry sections, so I think I'm stuck waiting.

I love my acreage, but I strongly question the prudence of the fellow who decided to plant the HorseBarn in one of the low-lying wet regions, with no good route out to the road.

Every year when December comes around and it’s still in the upper 80s, my wife and I start talking about how great it would be to live where there are seasons. But then when it’s in the middle of April and we hear about someone getting 8” of snow, we’re glad we live in Florida.
