The HBDLUX build

what color is that? where did you get it? how much was it? thats the exact color i want to spray mine! looks sweet!

You have gotten A LOT done since january!! Very nice!

It looks like the steering brace may need a little more penetration on the welds, but the design is good enough & even though youhave the brace, I'd STILL weld in a plate on the outside of the frame. I've seen crazy carnage there too many times.

I might also recommend making sure the mechanicals are all solid while you're into it this far. I'm all for a nice looking truck, but it don't mean crap if you can't reliably drive whenever you want & wherever you want.

All in all though, NICE WORK!!

Later,
Buddy

Edit: BTW, I LOVE the slots!! Are those 15 in wheels?

Go ahead and fork out the $25, looks like you already have the bug... will be the best money you spent. :waytogo: Beautiful work!

The paint is made by Aervoe...They have a website check it out
I used the Marine Corps Green and used their catalyst as a hardner mixed 8:1,,then used their 494 fast thinner.. I talked to a rep from Aervoe and he said I could buy the stuff cheaper from a local dealer then he looked up to see who my local was,,,,turns out I got mine from Fastenal.....Aervoe makes a bunch of industrial coatings also so thats where Fastenal comes in..

As far as the mechanical aspect goes that part of the truck was solid before I started...Redone 355 small block Flat tops, 202 heads, Holley Street Dominator Intake, Holley 650, Mild Comp cam, headers,,Muncie SM465,,NP205 case....All new steering linkages, new brakes, all new u-joints, new fuel tank...So the truck is good to go,,,I know I will need to look into axles in the future.

thanks for th comments

thanks. do you have the part number for that color? how much paint did you end up using to pain the truck? thanks, truck looks killer

the marne corps green is 992,,,,,they do have ever color to make any military scheme ya want and the colors all meet fs595a mil specs
The catalyst I used was 27-ox-1000...one pint per gallon,,,,then I used the 494 thinner,,jsut because it was about 40 degrees here when I sprayed it
All in all I used about 1 1/2 gallons of paint
