The "Hellephant" crate engine.

I laughed when I read the title--it reminded me of a fat woman named Ellen who worked in the office at one of the parts stores I worked at--one day a co-worker got in an argument with her,he made a remark after she announced she was pregnant and he whispered to me "omg--who'd ever want to bone that ?"...She came over and asked what he said,he said "nothing"--and called her
"Ellen-phant" under his breath as he walked away-- and she heard him,and came up behind him and gave him a Moe Howard head smack that almost knocked him flat on his face..:rotfl:

Chevy released the lt5 crate last week. 755hp. Dodge laughed and said watch this!

Mopar seems to try to win the big swinging (you know what) hp contest, but when you compare the hellcat to a z06, stock vs stock, the z walks all over them. Even the cts-v (a superior car imo) with 67 less hp is within striking distance to where it come down to the hit. Mopars platforms are generally heavier and cant seem to put the power to the ground.

Never the less, a reliable 1000hp motor on pump gas is impressive. Put that in a cherokee for a reasonable price and I would consider buying my first jeep.

When the cars are fat pigs they need a lot of ponies. CTS-V is over 4000lbs, but this "luxury car" is still a lightweight compared to the Challenger.

Yeah, the Hellcat Challenger is 4450 lbs...which is crazy fat for a car.
