I thought you guys might enjoy this.
I junked my 15'x4' steel frame swimming pool but kept the frame parts in my scrap metal pile. One day I was trying to figure out how to keep my rain cover from holding water and made this out of my old pool parts. It even sits on the pegs that the hard top sits on. I liked it so much I painted it and I'm having a snap in soft top cover made to fit. The best part is it's passenger friendly and just lifts out when I don't want it.

When I opened the post, my eyes were drawn to the picture first. I saw all the weak bolted tubing and thought "Surely he's not about to brag about his schweeet new 'roll cage', right".

Then I read the text and once I understood what it was for.....Brilliant! Post pics of the finished product fo sho.

Lol thanks, it is by no means intended to help in a roll over. That's what the black roll bar is for.

Right now just a heavy duty tarp. But my father-in-law owns an upholstery shop so I am having him make a vinyl cover and will likely use snaps all the way around to hold it on. I may have him make clear removable windows with heavy duty Velcro or zippers. If not, I'll at least make it so the sides can fold in and Velcro to the top.

I like the foldable top idea...I just bought a heavy duty was impregnated canvas tarp to try and make something out of.

I'm digging the "fastback" design of it. Look forward to pics with the cover!
