Just dropped the old starter on my K5 to swap a new one in and happen to notice the hot wire from the battery, due to previous (very intelligent) routing, had sawed itself nearly in half on the heat shield for the solenoid, and the hot wire was actually grounding itself out on the starter :haha: :haha: :haha:

Not to mention the starter itself must have had 10lbs of mud and rust caked on it. AND, surprise of surprises, the previous owner told me the truck had a TH350 in it, and I get under to drain the fluid and replace the filter, and it's just a Jasper 700R4. :doah:

Always something interesting with this beast.

That sounds like my junction block wire from the starter. It got nuked on the manifold causing the battery cable to ground on the frame and toast a battery. :doah: I was driving around town, kinda pulled a fast corner and booooom no power inside the cab nothing. :haha:

LOL how about a mad dash across a feild chasing a guy you just watched load your labador into his truck. Figuring with the bank youll clear the ditch and you do. The battery bounces into the hood arcing a hole in the bracing. Then firmly wedging itself into the fan taking out the fan radiator belts frying the fuse block and ruining your new battery.

Dead: 1 1986 pontiac 6000
caught: 1 dog thief
Piss pants: said thief when you stuck the shotty in his window
cops called: 2
explaination time: 45 minutes
Tickets issued: 2 trespass, destruction of property

I realise it has nothing to do with this thread but it was battery related.:haha:

Well, at least you *didn't* have to shoot him, otherwise you'd have been charged with assault and battery.

Or you could have hit him with it, making it assault with battery.

Etc.
