Just dropped the old starter on my K5 to swap a new one in and happen to notice the hot wire from the battery, due to previous (very intelligent) routing, had sawed itself nearly in half on the heat shield for the solenoid, and the hot wire was actually grounding itself out on the starter

Not to mention the starter itself must have had 10lbs of mud and rust caked on it. AND, surprise of surprises, the previous owner told me the truck had a TH350 in it, and I get under to drain the fluid and replace the filter, and it's just a Jasper 700R4.
