The KOH #4680 "little Yota that could"

F'ing awesome man!! I just read that whole thread. seriously cool. made me wish I could have been there just to cheer them on.

great to hear that the crowd gave them such good support.

That is an awesome story.

Makes me wonder how well my k10 would do:thinking::whistle:

If you bring your K10, I'll bring my Tahoe :D Let the big boys go do their thing, and laugh as we pass them taking our sweet time :D

Only difference is that I'll be installing a GPS in my truck -- The paper map didn't work that well for the Toyota, he was constantly getting lost and going off course, haha

The simplicity of that Toyota amazed me, but then thats why it did so well. I would think that a Chevy built to the same simplicity and strong would have a pretty good chance.

The one thing about KOH it is a race of attrition and patience that you have to do fast. It would be interesting to know of the 170 entries how many finished the whole race.

Eric, if you run Horton, I'll find another K5 and run one too :D

In my rather twisted mine I have been putting some serious thought into it but I would need some small sponsorship for it, we will see where it goes

Ive considered this as well. But the body modifications of my trail rig would put me in the unlimited classes while my drivetrain/suspension would have a hard time keeping up with the stock class rigs:dunno:

Yeah I agree....If that guy does not pick up some sponsers then its a cryin shame. Imagine what he could pull off with just a GPS:haha:

He actually would have finished in time had he had the damn GPS. He said himself they got lost all the time and would realize that they were lost because cars stopped passing them left and right:haha:

they said he was only over time by 5 mins.. and ontop of that he was stopping to help other broken down racers.. i guess he winched a buggy back on its wheels after it flopped on the side

Results are at the bottom of the page. 49 official finishers. Unfortunately the toyota wasnt included as an official finisher because he was over the time limit by 35 minutes.

However, he completed the course in that truck with no gps, he may as well been the winner in my book.

I think its kinda funny that Robby Gordon blew up his motor on mile 14 of the race too but on the other hand I think I would have rather seen him get smoked by the koh vets though. Im not a fan of Robby Gordon.
