the mighty 305

My mighty 305 has been running poorly lately. Its fine after a few minutes, but for the first few if I hit the gas or turn onto a hill it just craps out. It doesn't normally stall(it did this morning though) it just loses all power and I have to limp over to the side of the road and drive to the top of the hill at 2mph in the bike lane. A little embaresing to say the least.

Check fuel filter and pump.Sounds like loss of fuel.Brady

I dont know if this matters, but if i keep my foot on the gas it will run crappy for a few seconds, then all of a sudden take off. How would I go about checking the fuel filter and pump? Thanks.

Pull the filter out and clean it then put back in and see what happens.If it helps then that was probally the problem.Sounds like pump is ok.Carb probally need a good cleanning or adjusting.I don't remember how to adjust it right now.Brady

Thanks for quick response. I'll try that tomorrow. I kinda wish my 305 would blow up, burn my ass crispy, and then I could sue GM and buy all of us 454s.
