I guess I missed it, what happened?

I rolled it.:D very early in the day too. so it was a big downer. myself and Patrick (ramjet gmc) were at Rausch to do a little last minute wheeling Sept 2nd. I say last minute because my fiancé at the time, now wife, suggested that I go on that date because it was the day after her bachelorette party and she knew that she was just gonna lay in bed all day and recover.

we were "taking it easy" while waiting for others to show up and decided that the comp course was a good place to kill some time since its so close to the office.

drove up there, circled the horseshoe and drove in from the back side. my passenger front tire dropped into a hole and over it went. the hard way the tail came over the nose. and really slowly. I was hanging in my harness straight up and down just waiting for the truck to do something.

Is there a roll cage in there?

there was supposed to be but no. these cabs are suprisingly strong. the A pillar is something like three seperate peices of metal all welded together. learned that when I cut the roof off. like I said last minute decision to go wheeling. its getting fixed.

how about some video?

Glad your ok, looks like you have everything secure too. It sucks to watch a roll and chit goes everywhere.

I am proud to say that the only thing that fell out was a headrest. and that was when we righted it. I had my toolbox locked but it popped open, apparently it was packed so tight that nothing fell out. :D I did loose all the brake fluid in the reservoir though, but hey its a rollover, what are you gonna do? something has to be broke afterward.

I am a big advocate of bolting everything down. lets call it the "just in case" theory.

I am gonna dip into my secret savings for a roll cage a little sooner then I wanted to. and try to find a deal on a harness for the passenger side. I don't always have a co-pilot but I could never forgive myself if I injured a friend riding along.

I usually make the passenger get out to take pictures on the harder more dangerous/challenging stuff, this was an instance where it looked easy and wasn't. could have been bad. the passenger side took all the abuse. it was slow and even the tallest person could have leaned out of the way, but had it been fast and violent like Julian's roll, who knows the result.

I that is a pretty awesome pic.

thank you it is in the years of skill:rolleyes: and he wateg to get it on the wheels and not pose -- well it was dripping fluid :doah: but i got the shot. i think that may be best pic now :haha:

well i was going up on the left and he was doing down on the right and i looked back and saw the pas tire only go over and drove as fast as i could around to the front just to see him standing ther :haha:- he was fine (thats good ) so i got truck in the spot to pull /// truth bending on /// chas with his experance with winching showed me how to use my winch and we go thim over /// of /// well you see the vid :haha:

so we got it on the trailer and had a lite day of wheelen and chas fixed my front drive shaft 100 times :doah:

that is my truck in the corner tube thing i think i am going to do a truck pimpin after the 20th run

Send it in with a quick description of what happened. Looks better than most of the pics they usually use.

Plus, you could do a clever caption like.....this one tried to get away, but I quickly tackled 'em and showed who the Rausch Creed alpha-male really is!!!

:usaflag:

Glad your alright. I always liked your rig. Are you gonna just run it top less or swap a new cab on?
