I thought I would show you the new baby hauler I found for my wife recently. I found a 1994 3/4 ton 454 Suburban Starcraft conversion with 85k on the odometer just down the street from my house. The owner had replaced all the glass so he could have that color tint. He had Hanksville Hot Rods tig weld a Borla exhaust system and he put wheels from a 2007 Suburban on it.

Pretty clean, pretty clean.

But next time, drivers must be included. heehhe.

But seriously, that will keel the wife and babies well protected. Good choice there.

I got a nice or not so nice surprise when I took the "Baby Hauler" down the the emissions place. The truck passed emissions just fine but, when the tech looked for the catalytic converter, there was none to be found????? The previous owner had Hanksville Hot Rods tig up a Borla exhaust system with no cat????? So I took it this morning to A A Performance Muffler for a little add-a-cat-to-me. If you don't have a great exhaust guy give Scott at A A Performance muffler a crack at your rig, you will be very happy about his skills and prices.

Looks like it is a tailgate Suburban? If so, extra score. My parents Sub has barn doors and my Yukon has the tailgate, and I'd rather have that any day. Very nice ride all around:waytogo:

And not having cats is why it passed emmissions so well;)

Yes it is a tailgate model. We were originally looking for the barn door style but, I had no experience with either. I like the tailgate for sure it is very light.

Interior pics? Nice ride. Now strip that chrome cladding off and you will be in business.

I love that body style, too bad the Front IFS wears out in the 150k arena.
The 454 makes that burb way faster than something that big should be. It will pass a lot of things, but just not the gas station :)

I beg to differ. My Yukon just rolled over 150k and the only thing that is wore out on the front end was the pitman arm. Everything else is fairly tight.

Might be the case. Or you might have a different definition of tight. Mine was at 175? when i sold it, and the front end was a mess by my definition.

Upper/lower control arm bushings, ball joints, etc.
And all those ball joints must be have the rivets drilled out to change.

And you can't change the lower bj or Control arm bushing w/o unloading the torsion bars.

But anyways....still good trucks. Just not so easy to maintain in teh higher mileage category if you are anal.

Nice;) I can see why he spent the money on all new glass, the stock silver type glass looks kinda funky.
