the new calendars are here, the new calendars are here!

This is my first time ordering a calendar, and I gotta say, all the talk in the intial posts this year about calendar quality made me wonder...but these are as nice as any calendar I've ever picked up! I'm no calendarologist, but I think they look great!

Anybody looking to order next year should. Thanks for the work Paul!

Well said:waytogo:

Nevada is well represented this year. We got 3.5 of 12 months! : bow: (The 1/2 is February, as my wife took that photo on the Rubicon.) I've been on 4 of the trails in this calendar... kinda cool. I've GOT to do that Ourrey, Co trail! : bow: : bow:

If any of y'all ever make it out to my area, send me a message and I can show you around. I'm always looking for a reason to go out wheeling. I have done most all of the trails around Ouray, Silverton, Lake City, Telluride etc. Most of our trails around here take you up to near 13,000' elevation and have some of the best scenery in the country.

I just may take you up on that sometime!

I feel so left out this year. I'll just have to get by with my old calender :( I want to see the goodness inside too!!!

My condolences to those who didn't order...

I bought a couple and I'm glad I did!!
(even before I knew the Burb was In)
Paul and Kim impressed with every detail!!!

Maybe Paul could post a "current calendar rigs" thread to keep the motivation high for those who may have procrastinated and missed out.

With any luck there may be more demand for a "Girls of CK5" for next year.

I think BB13 would be a perfect photo opp for all attending to get some great shots to submit for both calendars...???!!!:dunno:

It truly is spectacular...I went up the gold mining road w/ Metrodps (he lives right in Ouray) while I was on my bike trip, truly in awe of the views!

Maybe we could generate enough "second run" sales to make it worth the while to reprint? I'd be up for a 5 more myself....seems alot of friends want a copy with the Maiden in it!

Shows how few of my fellow CK5ers that I know. I have seen his location but never knew he lived within 1/2 hour of me. Of course with our Western Slope location, that is anywhere Colorado west of the continental divide, so there are a few miles of territory to claim as home :D.

Maybe I should try to make some more friends.

Hey, brothers!!! Just got in the door from Mexico about 2 hours ago. I'm glad to see that everyone is loving the calendars!!!!

To answer some of your questions:

1. If there is enough interest, Kim would be more than willing to do a small second run for those who want more copies or who missed out for some reason. Please PM me with your request and we'll do what we can to accommodate you!!! :waytogo:

2. If any of you think I'm buying weeklong vacations to Mexico with the calendar profits, you're focking crazy. :rotfl: You don't wanna know what my hourly wage is when it comes to the Rigs calendar........

3.
But for 3 of the exact same rigs (or very close to the same) to make it 2 years in a row.... Other people should get a chance at this honor

I'm gonna be blunt here. There's a reason some members have appeared in the Rigs calendar a few years in a row- here's why: They send in TONS of HQ pics. So did the other 11 CK5ers who didn't appear in previous editions(including this year's cover boy). If people want a shot at making it into the calendar, they need to submit HIGH QUALITY pics that are awesome and in focus, plain and simple.

Secondly, if anybody thinks it's an easy task to sift through dozens of emails looking for "that" pic, and then spending hours and hours(and HOURS:doah:) of your free time confirming spec lists and other details, I suggest you buy your own $58K photocopier, a $3K computer with all the necessary software, a $2200 Firewire and $600 worth of quality paper. Then you can print off 200 calendars, spend an entire Sunday stuffing calendars and confirming all the orders, pay a few bucks per calendar to Steve to help support CK5, and spend over $800 on shipping to get the calendars out.

I don't wanna sound sore, but if ANYBODY thinks I'm in this for the money, you need to take the calendar project over for the 2014 edition and try it out for yourself.

Now that I got that off my chest, thanks to everyone who supported the 2013 Rigs calendar project. "Hold my beer- watch this.........."!!!!! :rotfl:

I just got a new camera and am planning to take plenty of calender submissions all year long.

Thanks again for all the hard work on the calenders, if I knew you were planning to retire off this I would have bought more.
I was hoping the girls of CK5 calender was going to make it I was holding out for that one.

I'd buy another one.

Thanks for the great work.
I will just have to get some good pics of mine know that it is running. I just did not have time time to get it out and getting any good action shots. Now I just have to find somewhere to go that I can get cool pics with messing it up.
