The new chevy diesel?

I don't know what the deal is with GM and a supposed cat power plant but knowing GM they won't use something that is simple and effective like a C7 with a 6k coiled D60 under it....

Me too. In my book chevy would jump from an extremely far 3rd place to a commanding 1st if they used the C7 cat, a real allison tranny, and the same D60 ford is using (with kingpins to handle the C7's 1,200lbs) and some nice beefy big coils like dodge uses. Combine that drivetrain with the chevies nice interior and I would probably go back to chevy instead of a new dodge cummins.
But... knowing GM they will never go that route. That is why I like dodge so much, inline six ISB, good tranny options, D60/80 and a great front coil setup. Plus I would take the ram body style over the "angry chinamen" chevy clip anyday.

I would put money on it that chevy will be the first to go IRS, and be proud of it too.
