The new engine is installed

Don't you just love the smell of a new engine when you start it for the first time. I love the smell of engine paint and RTV silicone burning in for the first time.

what kind of fuel are you running in that? I was about to say "and the smell of race fuel" but if you have EFI(read have an O2 sensor) what fuel are you running? AFAIK leaded fuel destroys O2 sensors.

That thing is a BEAST!! What are the spec on it?

BTW, I don't recall ever seeing a write-up in any off-road mag about your rig. WHY NOT?

Looks and sounds good Theresa!! Is one of the injectors messed up though? The close up shot of the throttle body showed a pretty drippy, gloppy spray pattern on one injector. :dunno:

I thought something looked off too.

To check a TBI injector, slap a timing light on #1 and point it at the TB, adjust the timing(need an adjustable light, but I bet you have one) and adjust it till the spray pattern looks solid(like there is no pulse, due to the strobe of the timing light). If you can't get that out of it, somethings likely not right, or if the cone looks messed up, again.

There is teaking to be done. We do have spare injectors if need be.

Cool, thats a trick I was just taught today so, you know, new knowledge I simply have to share. An old GM tech I have for a teacher taught me that.

That is a beast, and a beautiful engine. Great work! Is the Lunati one of the new Voodoos?

You are correct. Leaded fuel and O2 sensors do not mix as we just found out eventhough some told us it would last for a while.

We've already burnt 15 gallons of fuel on testing and it hasn't left the garage yet.

Another thing, K&N Billet aluminum micro filter fuel filters do not work . They restrict fuel flow.

We'll be running VP Motorsport 109 unleaded

More to come

Not knocking it, just curious - why aluminum rods?

As always, very cool truck and great video! :thumb:
