The new Garage

I'm tired of working in my tiny 2 car garage so I'm finally building a big (30'x60') shop to work in.
I'll post a minor update, they're working on the pad prepping to pour concrete this Saturday! :saweet:

Conduit is in to supply power to the sub-panel:

That's about it for now, it's pretty exciting watching it all go together. Saturday they're supposed to pour the slab, then they'll come back next week and fix my driveway and back patio! It will be nice to have that back so I can get my RV home and start prepping for KOH.

The forms are about 90% complete, termite guy will be out this afternoon to pre-treat the area and they're going to be here at 5AM to start pouring!

You can see in the pictures where the lift will be, the extra concrete and steel isn't required but we added it as an extra precaution.

This will be the view out the back garage door.

I can't wait to see what it looks like with the slab poured and then next week with all the concrete completed.

Very good idea with the extra concrete and rebar. I love it when I see guys do it right.:waytogo:

Love 510's. First car I ever had was one. Would love to have another, but they've gotten kinda rare.

I know where there's 3 of them

Woo hoo concrete. It all becomes so real when you got concrete in!!!!
I'll make sure to get a bunch of pictures and drone footage! I can't wait, I'm not going to sleep much tonight...

I even captured some drone footage of them pouring! Hopefully I get a chance to go through what I got and post later today. I was in the garage working on the S-10 all day yesterday.

Yesterday was a big day! The slab got poured and I was home to get some action shots. I flew the drone around for a bit to get some nice aerial footage. In all there were 5 truck loads of concrete poured.

I also shot some from my phone, they started at ~5:30AM so some of the pictures didn't come out so great.

As they were finishing the concrete, they also prepped the driveway so they can pour the concrete there on Monday. I went out this morning to take pictures of the finished work.

The entire garage is sloped slightly towards the back garage door which will make it nice for cleaning.

This is where the required "man door" will open on to my patio, they're going to ramp the concrete up on my patio to make it even with the door tomorrow.

Here's where the front garage door will be, the driveway just followed grade so they cut it back to ramp it up to meet the garage door opening as well. They'll be finishing up all of this tomorrow.

Hopefully later this week I'll be able to pull the S-10 out of the garage, I've been working on it for the last few weeks to prep it for KOH and I really need to take it on a test drive.

I took some video with the drone but I still need to process it. Hopefully I get some time to do that later this week.

Today I got my driveway back! :waytogo:

The cleaned up all the extra dirt and AB mix and repoured the sections they had removed for the plumbing as well as extending the driveway to the new slab. They did run out of concrete unfortunately so they didn't get to the small section of patio that had been removed to make room for the slab. They'll have to come back and do that one later (they said they would just bring a small mixer and bags).

As I'm posting these pictures I just realized they covered the new cleanout port for my RV... I'll have to talk to the GC about that.

Where was the RV clean out, never saw it in the trench line?
