Hi all. Been lurking for a while and was waiting to join until I finally bought a truck. Many of you may have seen it on ebay a couple of months ago. The paint job is a bit over the top, but it's a really high quality paint job. I'm going for a resto-rod. I haven't even had the truck for a month and the wife is already calling it my girlfriend.

Specs:
1972 K5 (duh)
454 BBC, TH350, NP205
D44, Custom 14FF (10.5 ring gear with six lug outers) (for sale), 4.10 gears
39.5x13.5x20 IROKs (for sale) on 20x10 Moto Metals (for sale)
8" Superlift springs, 2" body lift
Kayline Fasttrack Soft top (SCORE!)

Immediate plan of attack:
OE style bumpers (done)
315/75r16 Procomp Extreme ATs on 16x10 Procomps (MT Classic II clones) - (bought yesterday)
14FF with 4.10s and a Detroit
8 lug outers for the D44
Lose the body lift, 6" lift over the winter

I don't especially care for the 20's, but nice truck

Apparently he doesn't either..... Looks like those are getting replaced with a more conventional 16" combo.

I love the houndstooth seat covers. Someday that's the style I will do for my own interior. It's a great "retro" look these days.

The interior was, and is, one of my favorite parts of the truck. It sealed the deal for me.

Was very reasonable considering the condition of the truck.

What did you do with the front bumper?

Sorry! Sold it to my barber.

AJ, nice rig. Would you take some pics of your floor shifter. Is it the Light truck mega shifter from B&M? I'd like to see how it sits next to the t-case shifter and its placement? a few detail pics would be great. Thanks

Yep. It's the Light Truck Megashifter. One of the POs converted it from a manual to auto. I'll get some pics of the shifters up this weekend.

Welcome to CK5. For some reason, I really dig the paint job. I don't know why...

Thanks. The paint has really grown on me too. It's really impressive in person.

The avatar and title was a dead giveaway that you were over on the texas4x4 board too.

Pics of the shifters and engine

As requested. Pics of the floor shifters and engine.

That is a beautiful truck man.

Thanks for the pic AJ. That shifter is something I really want to do. BTW, that truck is nice. Yeah, I'm gonna be rude and ask if you will tell what you paid.

Thanks. $12K on ebay. Easily worth more than that with what the PO put into it. I think most people just couldn't get past the paint job.

You know, the paint job is actually growing on me. At first I thought it was too much but the more I look at this thread, the more I like it. I think the rims you are considering will give it a whole new look.

AJ, great to see you got it/won the auction!

Awesome score.

Welcome to the world of blazers, with the personnel touches your talking about doing, it's only going to make that K5 even nicer.
