Here's the real deal, the original Guardsman. A full half inch thick. Read the tech review by one of our own CK5 members here>

This is one piece you don't want to sacrifice on strength.

As always $65 and if you use the "Buy it Now" button on the website its actually only $60. That includes all the hardware required. Of course Grade 8 bolts and they are pre loctited.

There's quite of few of these out there, you guys that have them, let's hear some feedback!

I'll be posting up some pictures of the newest revision. Not much different just a little bit more beef and clears 1410 ujoints thanks to Jesse at High Angle Driveline.

Yep, I've had one for over a year. As always top notch products from Kert. :waytogo:
 
While writing the review for Kert, I tried to get the Guardsman to hang up...it really is more of a rock slider than most people believe!

That's exactly what customers are reporting. Thanks again for the tech review! You did an excellent job with it!
 
Also, if you notice, Kert's design of the original Guardsman has better ground clearance and less reason to drag on obstacles than other "imitation" and poorly designed "knock-off" pinion guards.

If you have a 14BFF, buy the original guys-

I noticed the design of one of these "imitation" pieces resembles a plow... How can mounting a plow under your truck be any good? The Guardsman appears to be a well though out design built with THICK material.

I would buy one if I had a use for it, but I don't. I am, however, very pleased with my disk brake brackets. They are very well made parts and the kit includes solid spacers instead of pipes.

would it be possible to get one made where the top part extends beyond the bolts a bit? I want to integrate it into a truss system. It'd be less work for you, I just want it flat across the top... maybe an inch taller than the standard model. :)

I bought one so I could use it at Blazer Bash this year. Well with three million other things to do to get my truck ready for the drive out there, the guardsmen was kind of low on the list. So at 1am the night before I was to leave for Moab I ripped this thing out of the box. I had it completely installed by 1:30am :D

I got to use it at Blazer Bash too. I heard other people calling it a "shovel" but that has not been my experience with it. Maybe if you were doing strictly mud it wouldn't be a great idea, but when you routinely drag you diff over rocks, I consider it a neccesity. I scraped it up a bit, and didn't even bother to look at it until the end of the weekend to see how much paint was left.

I need some stuff. Guardsman for 1350 in a 14ff, 14ff spring plates, D60 front spring plate, u bolts for both and spring perches for the 14ff. Ya got all that??? And shipping to 75002
 
One more request - can you make one that also extends back to help hide the 14ff lip/anchor? I will be gring a bit on mine but it will still have a bit of a lip that would hang up on things. A skid would help here. Do you think the pinion mount would be strong enough? I suppose if it was a tight fit on the pumpkin and could not be used as a lever it would be fine....

It'd get hooked on stuff going backwards unless it were tied into the cover. Gotta back up sooner or later. Not impossible but I don't think you'd want it just hangin there.
 
I have one on the Willy's. for the price it's a cheap piece of insurnace to know the rear joint is protected, and at the size it's pure beef.
 
Update - I have my Guardsman, this is a serious piece of work.

Heavy duty and nice welds.

Has this revision for the 1410 joints been put on the market yet?
