the "other' use of a stinger.

we have all talked about the uses of a stinger on a front bumper, from ramping up your aproch angel, to stopping a frontal roll over, to hell looking cool.

last night i discovered another.

i have a modist 'stinger' if you can even call it that that my spot lights sit behind to protect them from inpacts.

now the other use of the stinger is to maxamize distruction, wen you just roll literaly roll your suburban into the back of a sunfire the stinger helps to ramp the bumper so that it impacts the trunk lid, fender, and will push the lid in such a way that it impacts the other fender too.

this situation is compounded when the husband of the woman driver you hit is O.P.P. (state cop) and she "MUST" call this in, and couldent posably let me just pay it in cash.

believe me a stock K5 bumper will do the samething. Mine acted as a ramp when I hit a Chevy Lumina. Ramped it up, put a tire on the hood, and drove right over the front end of the car...

there is a crappy intersection at the bottom of a hill that a 4 lane road comes down, i was trying to turn right on to said road.

you can only turn right there no left turns or going strate as indecated by many signs. leave it to some ass in a s blazer to be trying to turn left.

i was behind the sunfire and she pulled ahead quite a bit, and started her turn, i looked to the left to see trafic around the blazer, while rolling forward, and rolled into the back of her car. as the road angels down quite a bit there.

and sled how faet were you going to go right on top of the car?!?!?

like 15 mph... I probably hammered down when I hit the car, its been years since that happened and I doubt I knew 5 minutes after it happened if I did. I just remember after I realized it happened I jumped a curb into a parking lot and got out to check if they were alright.

A guy I work with was driving a straight truck (Roll Off), long story short, a woman starts hammering on the cab door. He throws the truck from reverse to neutral, hits the air brakes and rolls down the window, she's freakin' on him...he had backed right into, onto and over her Honda, she had jumped into the back seat and out the back door!

He said later he had felt nothing but a hesitation and just gave a bit more throttle! Now it WAS his fault because he had no flag man, but she pulled an idiotic move to get into that position. Luckily no one was hurt.
