i have a 84 toyota 4x4 i bought while i was a senior in high school cause all my freinds had them and they could go out and wheel for pennies and i really couldn't afford to keep payin for the gas in the blazer and plus it was blown up but the more i mess with it the more i like it. i have designated it my trail and snow toy.
this is what it looked like the first time i took it out after buying it for 1000 bucks.
i painted it from its ugly white with funky stripes and put a lift shackle front and rear and built a .30 over 22r for it.

then i put on some 35's and painted it blue for some odd reason and shortened it for the looks and trail usethen painted it the same color as all my other rigs od green then i went and bobbed a new bed and put led's in it, did 4.88 gears with spools front and rear, 63" chevy springs in the rear, rear springs up front, 14" bilstiens all the way around with shock hoops all the way around, cleaned up all the excess brackets off, new head, and stinger bumper

Love it!

sigh...

...there's a '91 or so IFS Toyota sitting for sale by where I used to drive to work all this winter and it's not HALF as nice as that. Rust, rust holes, stuff dangling off the bottom...damn road salt...half a zillion miles and they still want big bucks for it too.

yeah i remember when my buddy first got his toy after i had my blazer and we went out and it would just go place i would have to rail on my blazer to keep up but it was open and no cases or anything but everything for the toyota is so much cheaper than the chevy stuff but my heart is still with my blazer just not my wallet so much haha. figured i could build my blazer for sand and mud and keep the toy on the trail and snow easier to dig out if i get it stuck. i'm gonna be doin some more stuff this year so i'll keep pics of the progress
