This week has been pretty darn good 
I got the transfer I have been hoping for all summer. I will be teaching special ed science and will also be the yearbook advisor at Eagle River High School just outside of Anchorage. I have worked at this school before and have made no secret that I wanted to go bach there permanently. I am getting a huge pay increase (my contract went from .4 to .8 with 1.0 being full-time) and am in to the insurance and retirement programs.
AND, I finally got the burb back on the road. As many of you may know, it has been parked since February with a bad tranny. Well, after one of the brotherhood GAVE me a wonderfully built 2wd tranny with a broken bell housing (the guts went into my case) and another guided me through the parts exchange process, the rig drives great! Thanks Gus and Gus (great name for generous people!).
